Baptism is one of two Sacraments in our church. We practice both adult and infant baptism. Baptism usually takes place during a worship service at the request of an adult or when an infant is from one to nine months old. It is a sign that symbolizes his or her birth into the church family. By touching the person being baptized on the forehead with water, the minister reminds the members of the congregation of Christ's baptism and of our own baptisms, and our responsibility to take care of and nuture the newest members of our church family.
Baptism at Calvary Presbyterian takes place during the 10:30 am service. Before a baptism can be scheduled the adult individual/parents/guardians should schedule an interview with Pastor Ron de Groot by calling 973-377-4837 or you may email him by clicking here.
